Week Two. Each Highland Park Market will differ from all those preceding and those following. Each market depends upon which vendors attend. Our Market Manager, Norm Gilbert, has an excellent surprize in the works. Perhaps we can fill you in on the details before the third week.
Just a Sign the 1st Day. Much better. They filled three tables with their floral goods. If you got there early, you could choose from all of them.
Early Birds .... An hour after opening, the tables are no longer "filled to the brim."
Lots o' Winers. More customers checling out the local winery's list.
Wine Vendor. Whoo. Taste samples. The word is now out. Plus Chuck's gets a free ad here. (They are not connected.)
TV Converts To Digital Tomorrow. He said 4 million people have not acquired their analog TV converters. Well, it may take years to get them all converted.
Chanel 5 Interviewer. Channel 5 should cover this factor in their evening news -- tomorrow's too late if you're watching them on analog TV.
More Garden Produce. If you wanted Iowa grown produce, you could find it.
Solid Wood, Hand-Carved Items. If you're tired of Chinese plastic, you can find real furnture and even a very solid, wood rocking horse.
Free Blood Screens. Here you see three student pharmacists screening for glucose and blood pressure. They explained the ramifications of the results.
Also a Good Place To Meet and Greet. At today's event your Highland Park Farmers Market provided free blood tests. Our market also provides an excellent place to shmooze with your neighbors. See you there next Thursday.
