Festivities will run from 4:30 PM till 8:00 PM
Rendevous on Riverview is an outdoor family friendly event.
We encourage you to bring chairs and/or blankets.
No food/coolers or outside beverages will be permitted to be brought in.
Please bring IDs as adult beverage sales will be strictly monitored and
enforced.
You MUST be 21 to purchase and consume alcohol.
Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times.

Before entering the island, our security people issue wrist bands that allow
you to purchase adult beverages.
Eighth and Corning. Walk to the end of our relatively new Riverview concrete bridge and you're greeted by our security guards. Their job is to prevent unruly behavior. Job well done. FREE admission but you need a wrist band to purchase adult beverages.

Not quite ready for the crowds, the MetaBank people get ready to meet and
greet Riverview Rendezvouers.
Our Main Sponsor this Friday. MetaBank strongly supported our first island event by funding our band and supplying drinking water and soft drinks.

GIMIKK's lead singer gave a high energy performance the entire evening.
Harder Working than James Brown. As hard as he was singing, it's amazing that he could keep it up all evening.

Ready at Opening Time. Just barely open and the volunteer staff's ready to serve.

The event just started but the beer tent already has a line.

Just getting started -- plenty of room left.

Twenty minutes later the crowd's picked up a bit.

Starting to resemble the Iowa State Fair food and drink lines.

Even the boys in blue were enjoying the evening.

Plenty of schmoozers on the island.

Even a few bikers wandered in from the bicycle trail. We expect more
next weekend.

You can lean back, relax, and still bike.

Kids and dogs were there.

Non-kids were there in abundance.

Politicians were there.

Hard-working volunteers and organizers were there.

And consuming electrolytes.

The crowd was still there

The band played right up to the last minute. It's not over till the
skinny guy stops singing.

This was not here last week.
It's a Wrap. At 8 pm, everyone but the volunteers headed back to our brand new parking lot -- furnished courtesy of the Polk County Board of Directors.
