Turning on Our HP Lights

On May 20, 2006 approximately a dozen volunteers showed up to plant flowers in the 22 flower pots distributed in the Sixth and Euclid Streetscape.  Terry Lillie procured the flowers from the Des Moines Botanical Center.  These pictures were taken July 8.

These two pots are located at the base of the arch in front of Aqualand.

You'll find this pot of Chuck's.  Linda always buys extra flowers.

And Linda has saved some of our original flower barrels.

Here's another one.  Linda also has hanging baskets of flowers.

Linda also plants pots of aromatic basil.

Mosaic Treasures features this pot and bench.

MetaBank has this pot next to their bench.

Across the street at Bannings you'll find these flowers.

In front of Hiland Bakery and Hiland Park Hardware, you find these flowers and bench.

The wheelers have also saved a pair of our original whiskey barrel pots.

Here's their other one.

Chicago Dog & Deli has this pot at their base of our arch.

On their Euclid side, you see this pot.  They also have two of the original pots at their front door.

We've shown you roughly a third of the flowers decorating our Sixth and Euclid Streetscape.  You can see them all by taking a leisurely stroll thru the area any morning or afternoon.  You can also see many of them when you attend our Highland Park Sweet Corn Day July 15, 2006.  Better yet, do both and stop to smell the flowers.  LA
